Again me with a small project of recycling for my son…

Having done enough sorting in his closet, took me aside two t-shirts cool patterns… too small, not donnables in the State (one has a hole on a sleeve, the other is all distorted… ). I was sad to put in the recycling bin then hop, a little cutting and goes for a ride…

Small recycling with the first…

The black t-shirt comes from my closet, it is too big and badly cut but cotton jersey is good…

The yellow t-shirt has the collar that gondola and seams that run… What interests me is the applied Chameleon…

Here are my two in one…

I cut all the seams of the black t-shirt and cut parts of the shirt (with a boss October).

I cut out the applied on the yellow t-shirt, fabric piece and I sewed it to the zigzag stitch on the piece before.

I mounted the t-shirt to the sewing machine (needle jersey and point repeating my Mac) and finishes the neck and handles in a Brown cotton jersey.

The size is impeccable in 110 (I went up a size since last summer… it push it!), but I screwed up on the neck.

In the magazine they did not provide measures of bias, I therefore calculated with their (the neckline times 0.85 cm length) method and it made me something of very wide… that yawning but the neck is very clear and in winter is not the ideal… so with a t-shirt with collar underneath it's better… I think that my fabric was too stretchy, I should have cut the length… suddenly we have more of a sweat as t-shirt effect.

My son is thrilled to "take advantage" of the applied Chameleon, is originally a t-shirt that took him a lot and I find it nice to be able to make it last time…

Recap:

  • fabric: two t-shirts set aside for my recycling…
  • Patron: Mr bear of the October 6/2013 boss t-shirt
  • size: 110, so size perfectly for his five years
  • again?    It's a "basic" pattern that can give rise to all the interpretations you want… So yes as soon as I'm finished with my neck problem… I'll have to redo one to me the hand, hehe…
